Are You New to Hamilton?
Health Care Community Health Centres are non-profit organizations that provide primary health care and engage in health promotion activities in communities. Community Health Centres have doctors and nurses on-site and provide services for immigrants and refugees. Counseling and support services are also available through Community Health Centres. There are two community Health Centres in Hamilton: Hamilton Urban Core Community Health
Centre North Hamilton Community Health
Centre Walk-in Clinics If you do not have a family doctor, or if you have a health issues and cannot get an appointment with your doctor, you can visit a walk-in clinic. You do not need an appointment to go to a walk-in-clinic, but you may have to wait in line. Walk-in medical clinics provide services such as immunization updates, travel immunizations, pap tests, family planning support, STD testing and minor surgical procedures.
