Computer Classes and Driving Instruction

The Immigrant Women’s Centre offers driving and computer training to bolster access and independence for immigrant women. Driving and computer classes are held at all three sites in Hamilton, and child minding is available for both programs.

Computer classes
We offer basic to advanced computer training for immigrant women.

Classes include:

• Windows XP
• Basic Internet
• MS Word
• MS Excel
• MS PowerPoint
• MS Publisher
• Typing    

Certifications
Prepare for your career! The Immigrant Women's Centre offers First Aid & CPR Training and the Food Handling Certificate through out the year, to equip women for a job in their chosen field.

Driving instruction
Learn to drive and build your independence! Our 3-week G1 Driving club offers in-class instruction to learn the rules of the road and prepare for the written G1 test.
