Gain experience, develop your skills and support newcomer women and their families through volunteer work with sjIWC. Our centre has ongoing, occasional and project-based volunteer opportunities in the following areas:    

• Fundraising
• Computer lab support and supervision
• Computer skills instructor
• Office support
• Program support
• Tutoring Teaching assistance
• Leadership (Board of Directors and Advisory Committees)

How to apply to be a volunteer:

Volunteers are screened for their skills and suitability as well as to determine their skills development goals. The process includes:
Submitting a completed application form and resume

• Attending an Information Session
• Attending an interview with the Volunteer Coordinator 
• Completing orientation to the Centre and programs
